From the summit of Fjellheisen, it is an easy march over/uphill to Vardefjellsryggen (1121). There is only about a 100 m height difference to the highest point on the ridge, but you lose a few meters of height which you have to make up for. A number of options for descent towards the Heimseter area, forest terrain and up towards alpine and demanding terrain above the tree line. Alternatively, return to the ski center along the same route, or down towards the Vardelia lift on the north side of the alpine centre.
